Shorewood Girls Water Polo
Practice times:
- 1st day of practice - Monday, March 3rd.
- The season runs from March thru May.
- Practices are Monday – Friday, 4:30 pm - 6:00 PM at Innis Arden Swim Club - 1430 NW 188th St, Shoreline, 98177
- BRING: swimsuit, towel, swim cap, goggles (if you have them), tennis shoes, water bottle, and appropriate clothes for drylands
Team and American Water Polo Dues:
- Every player is required to be registered with American Water Polo https://americanwaterpolo.org/join-now/
- Pay Shorewood’s ASB fee
- Fee $500 ($200 is the normal fee for all Shorewood sports but we also must pay for pool rental, referee fees, tournament and league fees).
- Does your family have a business that could sponsor or co–sponsor the team?
- We want anyone who wants to play to have access to water polo, so if the financial aspect is a concern, please talk with Ann Hayes-Bell or Coach Mira
- Team gear Suits/Shirts/Gear: More information about gear ordering as the start of season approaches.
Games:
- “Home” games will be played the Innis Arden Pool.
- Away Game times/days will vary.
- Players will need to find their own transportation to and from away games as there is no District-provided transportation.
Coaches:
- Mira Ho - Shorewood Boys and Girls water polo coach, summer water polo coach at Innis Arden, teacher in the Edmonds School District, former University of Washington water polo player. Lifeguard (CPR/First Aid) trained. mirahoho@gmail.com
- Elle Fredrickson - SW assistant water polo coach, graduate of Santa Clara University. Four year varsity water polo player 3x GCC All-Academic Team (2021, 2022, 2023), 2022 ACWPC All-Academic Team (Outstanding), 2020 graduate of Shorewood.
